    Devi essere sicuro di NON avere fglrx installato. O usi il driver fglrx con XGL (nel qual caso devi installare XGL) oppure usi il driver radeon con AIGLX.

    Questa e' roba testing/unstable, se non ci si vuole sbattere piu' di tanto, non si installa e si usa metacity, ovvio che con roba in testing/unstable(oltretutto fork dev ) un bel po' di mazzo te lo devi fare.

    In alternativa per avere effetti 3d e lunaparkate varie, acquistare windows vista e rinnovare l'hardware e pregare Santi vari che tutto funzioni.

    Ci sono distribuzioni linux enterprise, dove sicuramente troverai tools commerciali che non ti faranno sbattere un granche' nello studiarti gli script nemmeno per riconfigurare xorg(pero' costano e roba in testing/unstable ne trovi difficilmente).

    O meglio ancora, se non ti va' di smanettare, usa windows e vivi felice, io sono per la massima liberta' di scelta.

    Con macchina senza hardware "potente" (AMD Palomino1800 - 768 SDRAM) gira tranquillo e senza crashare(per ora), solo un pelo lento, ma non riguarda solo me la storia, e' un po' comune a tutti.....se devo lavorare spedito e senza fronzoli, ovviamente vado su metacity.

    ho installato Beryl, tutto a posto tranne una cosa: il cubo non mi appare quando faccio lo slide dei workspaces.
    Io ho una Intel integrata sul mio laptop vaio.
